What do our Product Icons Mean?
On all of our product pages, we have key features displayed via our icons. To further understand what they describe, find the relevant icon in the list below or click through our navigation buttons and read through our description.
General Features
Stellisons - Approved Stockist: Our Stellisons 'S' logo shows all of our products that are part of our own range purchased directly from the supplier and not supplied as an agent of Euronics. We are an approved stockist of all products showing this symbol.
Euronics: All our products displaying this symbol come directly to us from Euronics and are sold by us as an agent. We are proud to be part of the Euronics network, the largest electrical buying group in Europe, consisting of local, independent retailers such as ourselves. Find more information about Euronics here.
Warranty - Parts and Labour: Our products come with different length warranties, shown by the number on the icon. When there is one number displayed, it is for that length on both parts and labour. When two numbers are displayed, the first relates to parts with the latter for labour.
Energy Labels: All products requiring an energy rating will have their rating displayed. When clicked on, this will display the energy label supplied to us from our suppliers. To find out more about the new energy labels and what they mean for you, click here.
Laundry
Capacity - Dry: Our range of dryers all come with different maximum capacities for drying. Choose one of our larger dryers if washing for a family.
Capacity - Wash: This symbol outlines the maximum load that can be put into the drum of the machine and, with a range of capacities on offer, we're sure you'll find an appliance suited to you; just check the symbol attached to any washer.
Spin Speed - RPM: The RPM (revolutions per minute) of a washer relates to how many times the drum turns around in a minute. Higher RPMs are better suited to stronger fabrics that can withstand it, allowing for dryer washing at the end of the cycle.
Vented Tumble Dryer: Often the cheaper of our range of tumble dryers, vented options are great on a budget. However, they need to have external ventilation access as they release damp air. They operate by taking in the air from the room, heating it and then blowing it around the drum. This removes the moisture from the clothes via the ventilation hose.
Condenser Tumble Dryer: If you need laundry dried as fast as possible, a condenser tumble dryer is optimal for you. It also doesn't need access to a ventilation hose, however, it does require emptying a water container as the hot, wet air is condensed into water.
Heat Pump Tumble Dryer: Heat pump technology is the most energy-efficient method of drying your washing, however, to save money, the drying process takes longer to complete. To further understand heat pump technology, visit our blog page here.
Refrigeration
Frost Free: Frost free technology is built into the appliance and is used to prevent ice from building up in the machine through automatic defrosting thanks to a defrost timer. This helps to save time by not having to manually defrost the appliance and space with reduced ice in the machine.
Plumbed: Plumbed in relates to the connection between the machine and a water source. This means that the water from the dispenser comes direct from the mains and gives access to instant, cold drinking water and constant ice making facilities.
Non-Plumbed: Despite not being directly connected to a water supply, non-plumbed appliances can still come with water and ice dispensers, however, this will come from storage containers inside the machine.
Fridge with Ice Box: Our fridges labelled with this symbol come standard with an ice box inside. Unlike our larder fridge, these fridges are able to hold small amounts of frozen goods.
Cooking
Main Oven Capacity (Litres): On our range of ovens and cookers, we display the capacity of the main capacity of the appliance. This is either the only oven cavity or the most prominent cavity in appliances with multiple. The main cavity capacity is displayed in the icon.
Dishwashing
Place Settings: The general assumption in place settings is that 1 place setting relates to 10 items in your dishwasher: 3 plates, 2 cups and 5 cutlery items all of varying sizes. Each manufacturer may have a slightly varying place setting definitions however the number in the icon is a guide on the capacity of the appliance; 10 times the number displayed.
Cutlery Drawer: All of our dishwashers marked with this icon come with a cutlery drawer at the top of the machine. This allows for improved washing of cutlery and easier access to loading and unloading your smaller items.
Televisions
OLED TV: The 'O' in OLED stands for 'Organic' which relates to the cells behind the screen that produce their own light. This allows for advantages including deeper blacks and smoother motion whilst allowing for a thinner screen.
QLED TV: The 'Q' in QLED stands for 'Quantum' which relates to the tiny layer of extra dots in the TV screen. This allows for more vibrant colours and brighter images on all products marked with this symbol.
QNED TV: The 'QD' in QNED stands for 'Quantum NanoCell', a term used predominantly by LG. It is cheaper than the top-end OLED technology whilst offering the benefits of plenty of dimming zones, permitting for better contrast and brightness.
Full Array LED TV: Sony offer 'Full Array LED' lighting on some models, allowing each pixel to be self-illuminating. This gives brighter colours and deeper black, creating a more precise and vibrant picture. This also allows for thinner screens to further improve the experience.
720p HD Ready TV: Whilst HD television is sent in 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution, 720p resolution TVs only display up to 1280 by 720 pixels. This means that whilst the picture quality is better than standard definition, its picture quality is not quite as good as a full HD image.
1080p Full HD TV: Unlike 720p displays, products marked with this symbol are capable of displaying HD images at full quality, allowing for a better picture quality on all 1080p display TVs.
4K Ultra HD TV: 4K describes screens that provide a four times better resolution than a regular full HD display. This creates a clearer image with more realistic colours and brightness. Due to the number of pixels, 4K screens are often reserved for screens over 42" however this may not always be the case.
8K Ultra HD TV: 8K describes screens that provide a four times better resolution than a 4K display, offering the highest quality of display available on TVs. 8k TVs offer upscaling images to transform a low-resolution picture into a high-resolution, 8k-like image. Due to their high pixel count, 8k screens are used on the largest size screens.
