Sustainability at Stellisons

"Just Ask"

Here at Stellisons, we know how important our environment is to every one of us. That's why we want to motivate our customers to consider eco-friendly choices when they buy their new appliances.

Our "Just Ask" campaign, running alongside our fellow Euronics agents, encourages all of our customers to "just ask" questions about their appliances to find out how they can help. Whether this is water-saving washing machines or energy-efficient fridges, we are here to help you find the perfect machine for your needs at the minimal environmental impact available.

How we can help online

We understand that sometimes decisions are hard to make online without the face-to-face service and help we offer in-store. Due to this, we have many channels available to offer support to our online customers.

On our products, we offer a comparison tool offered to us through Youreko. This allows you to compare products across our site to find the most energy-efficient machine given your usage. This will not only help you save on your electricity bill but also benefit the environment thanks to the machine's reduced consumption.

Also displayed on certain products will be key product icons (as shown right). These are used to categorise sustainable technologies available on our products.

If you're still looking for assistance, you can contact us on 01268 638055 and we'll be happy to talk you through your options.

Sustainable Recycling Practices

At Stellisons, we are aware of the impact that the disposal of old machinery can have on the environment. As a result, we ensure we follow all 'WEEE' recycling guidelines to ensure that we keep our effect to a minimum.

'WEEE' stands for waste electrical and electronic equipment and it is regulated to try to reduce the amount of old equipment incinerated or sent to landfill sites. This relates to all equipment marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol which includes the appliances that we sell. Unfortunately, unwanted electrical equipment is the fastest-growing waste type in the country and so we aim to not increase this statistic.

New Energy Labels

In recent times, energy labels have undergone some new changes. These range from including QR codes for greater accessibility to whole changes to the scaling system. This can make it difficult for customers to know what machines are now the most energy-efficient.

These changes were made to make product comparison easier overall however, to do that, first we need to understand what the information on the labels means. Find out more information on how the new energy labels look and what it all means here:
